Waste to Project - Workshop
SAK Co. recently conducted a three-day workshop titled “Waste to Project” in collaboration with the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) at the Kuwait Scientific Center. The workshop gathered students from grades 9 to 12 and introduced them to the idea of transforming waste materials into useful and meaningful products through creativity and design.
The intent of the workshop was to promote sustainability through hands-on learning, encouraging students to explore the potential of discarded materials. Through guided discussions, design exercises, and building sessions, participants learned how innovative thinking can reshape the way we view waste and highlight the value of reuse and responsible material choices.
Throughout the three days, the level of creativity and innovation displayed by the students was remarkable. They approached each challenge with enthusiasm and curiosity, producing impressive outcomes — from furniture crafted out of old textiles to intricate structures made from repurposed wires. Their ideas were fresh, thoughtful, and exceeded all expectations.
The workshop concluded with a strong sense of inspiration. The students’ ability to turn simple waste materials into functional designs demonstrated how powerful creativity can be when paired with sustainability. SAK Co. values the collaboration with SACGC and remains proud to support initiatives that empower young minds and encourage environmentally conscious innovation.
